Vacation Planning FAQ

What is the first step in planning a vacation?

We provide you with a vacation planning Questionnaire or interview to find out what your “vacation vision” is and if you don’t know, we will help you figure it out! Then we start our research to find the perfect vacation options just for you! 

How much do you charge for your services?

For most itineraries we charge NO FEES for our travel planning services! If you book your trip through us, we are compensated by the hotels, airlines, and tour operators that we use. However, please help us to stay service fee free by booking your travels through us! We are not compensated unless you do! Also know that travel agents all get the same pricing so there is no need to shop around with other agencies once you find one you like. Just be sure to stick with the agent you are working with to ensure they get paid for their time by booking and managing your travel. 

What advantage is there by booking through your Travel Agency?

We have first-hand knowledge and expertise! If the agent you are working with has not personally been to where they are recommending you, then chances are someone in our immediate network has. We are an award winning, certified agency that has built long-lasting partnerships with our preferred Tour Operators and Hoteliers. This allows us to get the best value for our clients in addition to securing extras (like hotel upgrades and VIP services) you would not have been able to get on your own. Finally, service! We are not an 800 number or auto generated reply! We are real people that truly care about your vacation experience and you’ll see our passion for what we do reflected in our service. We always work hard to support you before and during travel!  

When should we book our vacation?

It depends! Certain destinations such as Hawaii or South Pacific may have limited availability and in the all-inclusive resort world, peak travel times sell out well in advance. A good tip to know is that commercial airlines will publish flight schedules and pricing around eleven months prior your desired travel dates. You can typically secure the best travel schedule and pricing by taking advantage of early booking promotions and locking in a travel package anywhere from 9 to 11 months in advance. 

Are price quotes guaranteed?

No, prices are not guaranteed until a deposit has been paid and reservation is confirmed. Airfare and hotel prices fluctuate frequently, so we encourage you to contact us as soon as possible once you are ready to book. 

What if I find a lower price?

Hopefully this will not be the case but depending on what you are booking this can sometimes happen. If it does, then no problem! Let us know where you found the lower price. We will do a quick check to verify the price, and request a price match and /or will find a way to beat it!  

We are ready to book–what next?

Once you have chosen your travel package, a small deposit will be needed to confirm your reservation. Deposit can be paid with Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or AMEX and can be made through the Blissful Honeymoon client portal we set up for you.  

When is my final payment due?

For most itineraries the balance is due 45-60 days prior to departure. We can also set up payment plans in most circumstances.  

Can I use multiple credit cards for payments, or split a payment between two cards?

Absolutely! We are flexible. You can use whatever credit card(s) you wish to pay for the trip. 

Do we need travel insurance? How much does it cost?

We highly recommend it! Travel insurance protects you if you have to cancel or reschedule. Travel insurance also provides coverage for hurricanes, loss of baggage, travel delay, trip interruption, and medical expenses while traveling out of the country. They do not accept American health insurance in other countries so having a trip protection plan is always advisable. The cost of travel insurance is based on your total travel package and can run anywhere from $75-$250 per person. 

What if we just change our mind or don’t want to travel due to COVID-19?

Yes as long as you purchased a Cancel for Any Reason trip protection plan. You should discuss with us your specific situation BEFORE you book so we can recommend the best policy for you. Trip protection plans are typically due in full at the time of booking; plans are active from time of purchase and are not refundable. 

When will we receive our airline/hotel information and other documents for the trip?

Your travel documents will be prepared approximately 2-4 weeks prior to departure. Documents will be e-mailed. We also provide a free travel app that will include your customized itinerary, electronically host all your documents include travel tips, destination and hotel guides, answers to all of your travel Q&A plus, the ability to message us directly through the app if you should need us during your travels!
